This P80 contact ignition plasma electrode nozzle is premium consumable built for air plasma cutting torches. It adopts contact arc striking design, operators can initiate plasma arc by gently touching the workpiece surface. This structure performs well for field operation, rough dismantling and scrap metal cutting scenarios.
The electrode discharge core is made of imported hafnium wire. Compared with conventional hafnium raw material, imported hafnium wire boasts superior anti-ablation performance under extreme high temperature, steady arc transmission, slower wear speed and longer service cycle during continuous cutting work. The nozzle and electrode main body are forged from high-grade chromium zirconium copper, processed with mirror polishing finish.
The sleek surface greatly lowers the adhesion of molten cutting slag, so spatter can fall off easily, while retaining outstanding electrical conductivity and heat dissipation efficiency.
This consumable assembly is suitable for cutting carbon steel, stainless steel, iron, aluminum and other conductive metal plates. It supports handheld manual cutting and basic CNC plasma cutting tasks, widely adopted in metal processing workshops, vehicle maintenance workshops, scrap recycling sites and outdoor engineering construction.
Operation Guidance
Prior to installation, confirm your plasma cutting machine and torch belong to P80 series. Adjust working air pressure within 0.40–0.55 MPa.
Mount the electrode and nozzle in correct order, tighten the fitting to secure stable electrical connection. Improper loose assembly will trigger arc shaking and rapid burnout of parts.
Contact ignition operation: Lightly press the nozzle tip against the metal workpiece to activate plasma arc. Do not drag or rub the nozzle forcefully on workpiece surface.
Guarantee the compressed air supply stays dry and oil-free. Oil mist and water vapor inside air pipelines will corrode the hafnium core and drastically reduce service time.
Select the matching nozzle aperture according to workpiece thickness and cutting current parameter.
Once you notice unstable arc, uneven cutting surface or visible wear of the hafnium core, replace the electrode and nozzle set timely.
