The HW-AMB-ECO laser welding solution represents an advanced laser welding technology, with its core principle lying in the simultaneous application of an outer-ring laser beam and an inner-spot laser beam. This dual-beam design enables more uniform thermal distribution and superior welding quality.

In traditional laser welding, excessive local heat on the workpiece often gives rise to various issues, including welding deformation, porosity, and cracks. By contrast, the HW-AMB solution acts like a meticulous engineer: it optimizes heat distribution through multi-point heating, ensuring even thermal spread and low welding stress. As a result, the workpiece is hardly deformed, and the welds are both aesthetically pleasing and structurally robust—free from cracks or porosity. Both the weld strength and surface finish live up to the standard of "high-end" quality.

HW-AMB lasers deliver more uniform and stable welding performance. The outer-ring beam preheats the workpiece and stabilizes the molten pool, while the central spot beam conducts deep-penetration welding. This synergy creates weld seams that are free from porosity and spatter.

HW-AMB stands for Adjustable Mode Beam. Hanwei Laser has dedicated years to the research and development of AMB laser beam welding systems. Specifically, the HW-AMB-ECO model features a fixed (non-adjustable) laser beam core and ring. The core diameter of the AMB laser ranges from 50μm to 100μm.

Minor changes in the spot size occur as the focal length varies. The HW-AMB-ECO laser beam is focused onto the workpiece surface via an optical system, forming the characteristic outer-ring and inner-spot dual structure:

• The outer ring emits low-power-density laser, primarily functioning to stabilize the molten pool and minimize spatter.
• The inner spot emits high-power-density laser, mainly used for achieving deep-penetration welding.
