Thoroughly clean the injector bore in the cylinder head. Ensure no debris, carbon deposits, or old O-rings remain.
Apply a thin layer of clean engine oil or vegetable oil to the new injector O-rings. Do not use grease.
Carefully insert the injector into the bore. Use the proper injector seating tool to push it straight down until it is fully seated.
Install the injector hold-down clamp and bolt. Torque the bolt to Cum-mins factory specifications using a torque wrench.
Adjust the injector rocker arm lever clearance (mechanical timing/valve lash) according to the Cum-mins N14 service manual procedure.
