Product Overview

This series of 15‑5PH precipitation hardening stainless steel round bars are manufactured by hot rolling and cold‑drawing forming. Standard delivery base state is Condition A solution‑annealed soft blank for easy CNC rough & finish machining. Customers can select target aging specification to achieve customized combination of strength, toughness and corrosion resistance.

15‑5PH (XM‑12) is ferrite‑free optimized martensitic PH stainless steel, developed on the basis of 17‑4PH. It eliminates delta‑ferrite segregation inside heavy‑diameter bars and delivers greatly improved transverse impact toughness. After low‑temperature aging, it obtains high strength while maintaining moderate corrosion resistance close to 17‑4PH. Widely processed into aerospace structural fittings, high‑pressure valve stems, oil‑gas downhole tool blanks, high‑strength fasteners and pump rotating components for aerospace, petroleum, energy and precision machinery industries.
