Product Overview
This series of 17-4PH solid and hollow shafts are produced via hot rolling + cold drawing seamless piercing forming process. Base material is supplied under Condition A (Solution Annealed soft state) for easy CNC machining; customers can select target aging specification to achieve customized hardness and toughness.
17-4PH (AISI 630 / 1.4542) is the most widely used precipitation hardening stainless steel. It combines medium corrosion resistance and ultra-high mechanical strength, filling the gap between common martensitic stainless steel and high-cost nickel superalloys. Solid shaft is for solid spindle, bolt and shaft core; seamless hollow shaft eliminates deep boring operation on solid bar, greatly reducing material waste and machining cycle. Both stock types are widely machined into pump shafts, valve stems, aerospace structural spindles, oilfield downhole components, mold core shafts and medical instrument rotating parts for aerospace, petroleum, chemical, medical and mold industries.
