1. Q: For mining haul roads with heavy load trucks (load ≥ 100 tons), what Geocell specifications and filling materials are suitable to resist severe wear and deformation?
A: For 100 - ton heavy load mining haul roads, select high - strength HDPE Geocell with a cell height of 200 - 250mm, a tensile strength ≥ 35MPa, and a cell side length of 500mm. The filling material should be high - density crushed stone (particle size 30 - 60mm, compressive strength ≥ 40MPa) mixed with 3% - 5% of asphalt emulsion to improve the bonding between particles. The filling layer should be compacted with a 30t vibratory roller to a density of ≥ 2.3g/cm³. This scheme can reduce road deformation by 60% - 70% and extend the road maintenance cycle from 1 - 2 months to 6 - 8 months.
1. Q: How to use Geocell to stabilize the mine dump to prevent landslides?
A: First, level the dump surface and remove loose rocks. Then, lay a 200g/m² geotextile on the surface, and unfold the Geocell (cell height 150mm, cell side length 400mm) along the dump slope. Fix the Geocell with steel anchors (length 800mm, diameter 25mm) at a spacing of 800mm × 800mm, and ensure the anchors penetrate into the stable soil layer. Fill the Geocell with mine waste rock (particle size 20 - 50mm) in layers (each layer height 100mm), and compact each layer with a bulldozer. For the top of the dump, use Geocell with a cell height of 200mm and fill it with soil to plant grass for ecological restoration.
1. Q: Can Geocell be used for the construction of mine goaf (underground mined - out area) treatment, and what is the construction method?
A: Yes. The construction method is: first, drill vertical holes (diameter 200mm) from the ground to the goaf at a spacing of 2m × 2m. Then, lower the folded Geocell (cell height 300mm) into the goaf through the holes, and expand the Geocell by injecting high - pressure air. Fill the Geocell with cement mortar (strength grade M20) through the holes until the mortar overflows from the holes, indicating that the Geocell is fully filled. A: Select Geocell made of modified HDPE material with acid - resistant additives. The material should pass the acid corrosion test: after immersing in 5% sulfuric acid solution for 1000h, the tensile strength retention rate ≥ 75% and the weight loss rate ≤ 5%. Additionally, lay a 50mm thick acid - resistant geotextile (made of polypropylene) between the Geocell and the acid - contaminated soil to further isolate the acid. The filling material should use acid - resistant gravel (such as granite crushed stone) to avoid chemical reactions with the acid drainage.
