Shantui SG18-C5 Motor Grader

The SG18-C5 is Shantui’s new-generation medium-duty hydrodynamic transmission motor grader meeting China Stage III emission standards. Designed primarily for road subgrade leveling, slope trimming, channel construction and site shaping, it is widely applied in highway, municipal, water conservancy, mining, airport and agricultural & forestry projects. Proven reliable, the machine balances working precision, traction force and easy maintenance, serving as the flagship motor grader in the 180 hp class.

Power & Transmission System

  It is equipped with a Weichai WP6 engine featuring ample power reserve and excellent torque performance. It resists engine stall under heavy-load leveling and slope-cutting conditions, complies with China Stage III emission regulations and delivers low operation and maintenance costs.

  The hydrodynamic transmission gearbox ensures smooth gear shifting and impact resistance, suitable for operation with alternating high and low speeds. The six-wheel chassis and articulated frame provide flexible steering and good ground contact, preventing slippage on complex job sites.

Working Equipment (Moldboard System)

  The moldboard blade is made of high-wear-resistant alloy for extended service life. The cylindrical guide structure offers high fitting accuracy for superior leveling finish.

  The moldboard features a large swing angle and fast angle adjustment response, supporting side shift, tilt and float functions. The float mode adapts to ground undulations to reduce elevation differences and delivers outstanding fine leveling capability.

  Optional front dozer blade and rear ripper expand its multifunctional capacity for dozing, scarifying, trench excavation and other combined operations to realize one machine for multiple purposes.

Operator Cabin & Ergonomics

  The fully sealed cabin with six-point shock absorption adopts double-layer sealing and sound-absorbing foam, limiting the operator ear noise ≤80dB. Air conditioner comes as standard for superior comfort during long-hour operations.

  Large-view glass minimizes visual obstruction from the A-pillar. The integrated intelligent display and control dashboard features online fault detection and alarm functions to monitor machine status in real time.

  Equipped with a shock-absorbing suspension seat, sun visor, windshield wipers, radio, storage box and other complete accessories. LED working lights are fitted on the whole machine to support night-time construction.

Maintenance Design Highlights

The wide-opening double-door engine hood enables quick access to core components such as the engine and filter elements for convenient inspection and servicing.

Lubrication points are centrally arranged to allow grease refilling from ground level, eliminating high-altitude work. The fuel tank is equipped with an electronic level gauge plus an external level sight port for direct fuel level reading.

Neatly arranged hydraulic lines with standardized fittings ensure high part interchangeability, reducing spare parts procurement costs and machine downtime.
