This triggers rapid nutrient transfer from leaves to upper cotton bolls while maintaining green state, achieving comprehensive effects including ripening, defoliation, and yield enhancement.
As a chemically stable phenylurea herbicide with slow biodegradation, Diuron is typically combined with Thidiazuron to improve defoliation rates. However, its rapid action requires careful application to avoid yield impacts and leaf-burn phenomena.
