FAQ
Question 1: Measured opening/closing time deviates significantly from factory value
Customer: When we test the opening and closing time of a 10kV vacuum circuit breaker on site, the test result is 2-3ms different from the factory test report. Is the device inaccurate?
Manufacturer: First, confirm that the sampling reference point is consistent with the factory test standard. The device defaults to the coil power-on moment as the timing starting point, while some factories take the closing coil iron core action moment as the reference, which will cause systematic deviation. Second, check that the displacement sensor is installed coaxially with the moving contact of the circuit breaker, and the installation bracket has no shaking during the action. Third, perform sensor zero calibration in a static state before the test, and keep the test site away from high-voltage busbars and frequency conversion equipment to avoid electromagnetic interference to the timing module. If the deviation still exceeds the allowable range after the above operations, contact us for factory calibration.
Question 2: Coil current waveform cannot be collected completely
Customer: During the test, the device only captures the closing coil current waveform, and the opening coil current has no data at all. The control circuit works normally. What is the reason?
Manufacturer: First, check the installation direction of the opening coil current clamp. The current clamp has a marked current direction, and reverse clamping will cause no signal output. Second, confirm that the opening coil control wire is completely placed in the center of the clamp jaw, and the jaw is closed tightly without gap. Third, check whether the opening coil voltage matches the sampling range of the current clamp. If the control circuit voltage is too low, it will cause the current signal to be lower than the sampling threshold. You can try to switch to a small-range current clamp for re-testing.
Question 3: Displacement sensor shows no travel data
Customer: After the circuit breaker completes the opening and closing action, the travel curve on the screen is always a horizontal straight line, and no stroke and speed data can be generated. How to troubleshoot?
Manufacturer: First, check the physical installation of the displacement sensor. The sensing surface of the sensor should be facing the moving conductive rod or contact of the circuit breaker, and the vertical distance between the probe and the measured surface should be within the rated range of 10-50mm. Second, check the signal cable connection. Re-plug the sensor connector at the host end to ensure that the pin is not loose or oxidized. Third, enter the sensor detection page of the device to check whether there is real-time distance feedback. If there is no feedback, replace the backup sensor cable for testing to rule out cable damage.
Question 4: Test data cannot be exported to USB flash drive
Customer: After the test, we inserted a USB flash drive to export the report, but the device prompts "no storage device detected", and other devices can read the flash drive normally. How to solve this?
Manufacturer: First, confirm that the USB flash drive uses the FAT32 file system. The device does not support NTFS and exFAT formats. You can back up the data and reformat the flash drive to FAT32 before trying again. Second, check whether the capacity of the USB flash drive exceeds 32GB. The device has limited compatibility with large-capacity storage devices, and it is recommended to use a USB flash drive with 8-32GB capacity. Third, insert the USB flash drive after the device is fully started, and do not plug or unplug it during the test process. If it still cannot be recognized, try another USB port or replace a brand-new standard USB flash drive.
Question 5: Contact bounce time test value is unstable
Customer: When testing the same circuit breaker repeatedly, the measured contact bounce time varies by more than 1ms each time, and the data repeatability is poor. What causes this?
Manufacturer: First, confirm that the test loop is connected reliably. Use a special test clip to connect the static and dynamic contacts of the circuit breaker, and tighten the terminal screws to avoid virtual connection. Second, keep the operation mode of the circuit breaker consistent. Each test should be carried out after the mechanism is completely reset, and continuous operation will cause the mechanism spring to fatigue and affect the bounce data. Third, check whether the contact surface of the circuit breaker has oxidation or arc ablation. Poor contact surface state will directly lead to unstable bounce time. It is recommended to polish the contact surface properly before testing.
Question 6: Shipping Method
Customer: If we place an order, how do you typically ship the goods? Will there be any issues with transporting bulky items such as reactors?
Manufacturer: We default to using dedicated logistics lines or brand-specific express shipping services; small-sized main units and accessories may also be shipped via standard courier services. Large items, such as reactors and excitation transformers, are packed using wooden crates or wooden frames for reinforcement to prevent bumps and moisture exposure during transit; a packing list is included with each package to facilitate item-by-item counting for you. Logistics costs are typically determined by both parties in accordance with the contract terms; after shipment, we will send you both the tracking number and the carrier's contact phone number for easy tracking.If your project site is remote or if delivery to the site is required with a specified logistics company, please inform us in advance when placing your order; we can then coordinate and arrange accordingly.
