Stainless steel wedge wire screen is a durable filtration and separation element designed for applications requiring high mechanical strength, stable filtration accuracy and easy cleaning. The screen is manufactured with precisely arranged profile wires welded onto support rods, forming continuous and uniform slots across the filtration surface.
Compared with conventional perforated plates or woven wire mesh, wedge wire screens provide a larger effective filtration area and lower flow resistance. The smooth surface and specially designed slot structure also help reduce particle blockage, making the screen suitable for continuous filtration and applications where repeated cleaning or backwashing is required.
Pullner stainless steel wedge wire screens can be customized according to filtration accuracy, dimensions, material grade and operating conditions. Different structures can be designed for liquid filtration, solid-liquid separation, screening and equipment protection.
The welded stainless steel construction provides excellent structural strength and dimensional stability. Uniform slot openings help maintain consistent filtration performance during operation, while the rigid structure can withstand higher differential pressure than many conventional filter meshes.
Stainless steel 304, 316 and 316L materials are available for different process conditions. For applications involving corrosive liquids, food and beverage processing, chemical filtration or industrial water treatment, SS316L is commonly selected because of its improved corrosion resistance.
One important advantage of wedge wire filtration elements is their reusable structure. Deposited particles can be removed by water flushing, backwashing, air cleaning or other suitable cleaning methods depending on the application.
The continuous slot design reduces the possibility of particles becoming permanently trapped inside the screen. This can extend service life and reduce the consumption of disposable filtration materials, especially in systems with relatively high solid loading.
Stainless steel wedge wire screens are widely used in industrial water treatment, food and beverage processing, chemical production, pulp and paper, petroleum processing, mining, wastewater treatment and other solid-liquid separation processes.
