Chemical Properties & Operating Guidelines
MoSi₂ heating elements are designed for high-temperature use in oxidizing environments. The protective SiO₂ layer prevents melting and degradation. However, prolonged use between 400°C and 700°C must be avoided, as this temperature range promotes accelerated oxidation and potential damage.
