XHORSE XDMB11EN ESL ELV Emulator designed for Mercedes-Benz W204, W207, and W212 models. This emulator serves as a direct replacement for failed OEM steering lock systems.

Common ESL Issues and Solutions
Most W204, W207, W212 ESL units experience damage with EIS. Two primary scenarios:
ESL motor damage - requires motor replacement
NEC chip lock - theoretically unlockable, but typically requires new ESL replacement
Diagnosing ESL Issues
Using VVDI MB Tool software, select "Check ESL damage" to determine:
"ESL is working" indicates motor damage requiring replacement
"ESL is damaged" confirms need for complete ESL replacement
Replacement Procedure with Xhorse VVDI MB Tool
Step 1: Erase EIS, then rewrite EIS and personalize ESL to achieve synchronization
Note: Both Key password and Erase password required. Failure to erase ESL first prevents synchronization.
Step 2: Load EIS data, tick "IR" to write EIS data and "OBD" to write VIN
Step 3: Click "Personalize W204 ESL"
Step 4: Verify "Initialized", "TP Cleared", and "Personalized" options are ticked. Insert original car key to activate EIS and ESL status.
Important Note:
Mercedes 204/207 EIS units are difficult to source and expensive. For all key lost scenarios on 204/207 models, consider using W212 EIS for replacement, which requires ESL removal.
