The HALA-CUSTOM-PW is engineered specifically for resonant wireless power transfer (WPT) applications. Air core architecture provides a critical advantage in WPT: μ₀=1.0 means zero core loss at the high magnetic field strengths encountered in resonant tank circuits, and zero saturation ensures consistent inductance at any DC bias level from zero to 2A. The inductor is characterized at standard WPT operating frequencies — Qi baseline (100–205kHz), NFC (13.56MHz), and AirFuel Alliance (6.78MHz) — with per-coil data for coupling coefficient k≥0.85 and power transfer efficiency η≥92% at 13.56MHz under 100W load.
Heavy-wire options up to 0.50mm diameter enable current handling up to 2A DC continuous. Silver-plated OFHC copper wire reduces effective series resistance (ESR) at WPT frequencies by 5–8% compared to bare copper, directly improving tank circuit Q and overall system efficiency. Litz wire configurations are available for skin-depth optimization at higher frequencies. The inductor's geometry can be customized to match specific coil-to-coil coupling architectures — diameter, turn count, and wire gauge are all customer-specified.
Each coil receives a permanent, laser-etched 2D data matrix identifier. The 25μm etch depth is verified per coil to ensure readability by surface-scan systems while preserving wire integrity (<5μm copper surface impact). The UUID links to: per-coil RF test records (L, Q, SRF, R_DC at WPT frequency), wire spool genealogy with certificate of analysis, WPT coupling coefficient (k) and efficiency (η) measurement data, SMT pick-and-place traceability record, and production timestamp. This per-component digital twin architecture supports Industry 4.0 MES integration, enabling full forward/backward traceability from raw material to field deployment — critical for automotive WPT and medical implant wireless charging where component-level audit trails are mandatory.
Traditional mechanical enamel stripping — scraping, sanding, or thermal stripping — induces mechanical stress on fine copper leads, particularly for 0.03mm and 0.05mm wire diameters. The HALA-CUSTOM-PW uses non-contact laser stripping: a pulsed laser precisely removes enamel insulation with <5μm copper surface impact and zero mechanical force transmitted to the lead. This eliminates micro-cracking, work-hardening, and lead deformation that can cause latent field failures in vibration-prone WPT applications. The process is repeatable to ±2μm strip length tolerance and preserves the underlying plating integrity (tin, silver, or gold flash).
