High Strength Stone Honeycomb Panel With good Stability and High Flexibility
Product Description
Stone honeycomb panel is a structure sandwiched with aluminium plate, aluminium honeycomb core and very thin stone veneer. Its advantages include light weight, limited radiation pollution, stone material saving, and broader size and so on. The mainly application fields are ceiling, curtain wall, indoor wall panel, floors etc, which are being more and more widely used on the decoration and renovation of the industries of construction, vehicles, ships, etc.
The stone aluminum honeycomb panel generally uses a 3-5mm thickness stone veneer and 10-25mm thick aluminum honeycomb backing, which are to be bonded with a special adhesive. For the outdoor wall, it is recommended that the stone slide thickness be 4-5mm, aluminum honeycomb panel thickness not less than 25mm while for interior wall, stone thickness 3-4mm, aluminum honeycomb board thickness 15mm. For the ceiling, recommended thickness is 3-4mm and aluminum honeycomb panel thickness 15-20mm; for the floor, stone thickness 5-8mm, aluminum honeycomb panel thickness 10 -15mm.
Strength.
Most of the natural stone types have comparativly high compressive strength against other materials, which is no longer the necessary conditons and advantages for the morden designed buildings. Even if its large strength but the critical weekness is the stone is too brittle. For the applications on the indoor or outdoor decoration, being brittle may cause accidents caused by the stone cracking in some extreme conditions. However, the natural stone veneer attached to a fiberglass or aluminum honeycomb backing is a good technical solution to the strength and brittle stone problems. Because the strength has been increased about 6 times than their original stone slices, that combination allows the cladding to withstand to moderate earthquakes, hurricane force winds, and external explosions. It can sustain the commonly seen shocks from the environment.
