The characteristics of pure cotton fabrics are :
1. Hygroscopicity: Cotton fiber has good hygroscopicity, under normal circumstances, the fiber can absorb moisture into the surrounding atmosphere, its moisture content is 8-10%, so it touches the human skin, making people feel soft and not rigid. If the humidity of cotton cloth increases, the surrounding temperature is higher, the water content in the fiber will evaporate completely, so that the fabric maintains a water balance, making people feel comfortable.
2. Moisture retention: because cotton fiber is a poor conductor of heat and electricity, the thermal conductivity is very low, and because cotton fiber itself has the advantages of porosity, high elasticity, between the fibers can accumulate a large amount of air, air is a bad conductor of heat and electricity, so, cotton fiber textiles have good moisture retention, wearing cotton clothing. It makes people feel warm.
3. Heat Resistance: Pure cotton fabric has good heat resistance. When the temperature is below 110 C, it will only cause moisture evaporation on the fabric and will not damage the fiber. Therefore, the use of pure cotton fabric at room temperature, washing, printing and dyeing have no effect on the fabric, thus improving the washing and wear resistance of pure cotton fabric.
The characteristics of Polyester fabrics are :
1. high strength. The strength of staple fiber is 2.6-5.7 cN/dtex, and that of high strength fiber is 5.6-8.0 cN/dtex. The impact strength is 4 times higher than that of nylon and 20 times higher than that of viscose fiber.
2. elasticity is good. The elasticity is close to the wool, and when the elongation is 5%~6%, it can almost completely recover. Wrinkle resistance is better than other fibers, that is, the fabric is not wrinkled and has good dimensional stability. The modulus of elasticity is 22~141cN/dtex, which is 2~3 times higher than that of nylon.
3. good heat resistance.
4. good wear resistance. Wear resistance is second only to the best wear-resistant nylon, which is better than other natural fibers and synthetic fibers.
5. good light fastness.
6. corrosion resistance. It is good for bleaching agents, oxidants, hydrocarbons, ketones, petroleum products and inorganic acids. Weak alkali resistant, not afraid of mold.
