Safety and Precautions
RO bactericides are industrial chemicals requiring careful handling:
Corrosive Nature: Most are acidic (pH often below 5) and can cause severe skin and eye burns. Always wear appropriate PPE including chemical-resistant gloves and goggles
Chemical Incompatibilities: Some non-oxidizing bactericides can be deactivated by certain chemicals. For example, DBNPA is rendered ineffective by reducing agents like sodium bisulfite. Other products may be incompatible with chlorine, hydrogen sulfide, or dissolved iron and manganese in feed water
