A: M42 contains 8% Cobalt, which makes the teeth much harder and more heat-resistant. If you are cutting through anything harder than wood (like metal studs or stainless steel), the M42 will last significantly longer and cut faster, saving you money on replacement tools.
Q: What is the recommended RPM for a 6-inch hole saw?
A: For a large 152mm diameter, a slow speed is critical. We recommend 50-65 RPM for mild steel and even slower for stainless steel. Using a high RPM will burn out any tool, even M42.
