Q: When should I use Spiral Flute instead of Spiral Point?
A: Use Spiral Flute for blind holes (chips pull up). Use Spiral Point for through holes (chips push forward). Using a Spiral Flute tap for a through hole is possible, but it is less efficient than a Spiral Point tap.
Q: Does the 35° helix work for all materials?
A: It is ideal for materials that produce long chips (Stainless Steel, Aluminum). For short-chipping materials like cast iron, a lower helix or straight flute is usually preferred.
Q: Can these be used for hand tapping?
