What is a decanter centrifuge?
A decanter centrifuge (also known as solid bowl centrifuge) separates continuously solid materials from liquids in the slurry, and therefore plays an important role in the wastewater treatment, chemical, oil, and food processing industries.

Centrifugal Separation Principle
Centrifugal separation uses the principle of liquid phase and solid phase with different densities and insoluble each other in the mixed liquid, and obtains different sedimentation rates in the centrifugal force field to separate and stratify, so as to achieve the purpose of settling solid particles in the liquid.
Centrifugal separation is a pure physical separation, used for liquid-solid, liquid-liquid, liquid-liquid-solid separation, especially in the case of small two-phase density difference or small solid particles, the use of gravity sedimentation can not meet the requirements, the use of centrifugal separation method is easy to achieve.
What Substances Can Be Separated by Decanting?
Decanting can separate solid-liquid mixtures or mixtures of two immiscible liquids. This is because decanting involves carefully pouring of a liquid from one container to another and as such, it can be used to separate immiscible liquids such as oil and water.

Three-Phase Working Principle
The bowl and screw make high-speed rotation with a certain differential speed between them. The materials enter the bowl from the feed tube. Under centrifugal force, the liquid of higher specific weight accumulates on the bowl's inner walls and is discharged through the centripetal pump or overflow plate. Lighter liquids form an inner liquid ring, stick to heavy liquid surfaces, and discharge from the overflow channel. The spiral material pusher continuously pushes solids to the bowl's taper end where they discharge from the residue outlet after drying.
