The LW450 3-phase decanter centrifuge is specifically engineered for the olive oil extraction industry, providing efficient simultaneous separation of olive oil, vegetation water, and solid pomace in one continuous operation. This horizontal screw discharge centrifuge utilizes centrifugal sedimentation principles to achieve high-purity oil recovery with minimal product loss.
The bowl and screw rotate at high speed with a controlled differential speed. Olive paste enters through the feed tube into the rotating bowl. Under centrifugal force, the three components separate by specific gravity: heavy solids (pomace) deposit on the bowl wall and are continuously pushed by the screw conveyor to the conical end for discharge; vegetation water forms the middle layer and exits through the centripetal pump; light olive oil forms the innermost ring and overflows through adjustable weir plates for collection.
