This horizontal, continuously working sedimentation centrifuge features continuous spiral discharging, ideal for sewage sludge dewatering and thickening.
The bowl and screw make high-speed rotation with a certain differential speed between them. The materials enter the bowl from the feed tube. Under centrifugal force, the liquid of higher specific weight accumulates on the bowl's inner walls and is discharged through the centripetal pump or overflow plate. Lighter liquids form an inner liquid ring, stick to heavy liquid surfaces, and discharge from the overflow channel. The spiral material pusher continuously pushes solids to the bowl's taper end where they discharge from the residue outlet after drying.
