Leveraging a patented nano - dispersion technique, the resin's surface is evenly coated with active sites derived from rare metal oxides, including iron (Fe) and zirconium (Zr). This results in the formation of a stable metal - organic coordination complex on the resin.
In addition, through specific surface modification procedures, functional groups like amino and phosphonate groups are incorporated onto the resin surface. These modifications substantially boost the resin's capacity for selective adsorption of arsenate ions.
