The High Performance Polyurethane Flip Flop Screen Mat (also known as a Flip-Flow or Relaxation screen) is the ultimate solution for the most challenging fine material screening tasks, particularly involving damp or sticky substances. Traditional vibrating screens often suffer from "blinding" or "pegging" when handling wet coal, clay, or fine ores. Our flip-flop mats address this by using a highly elastic MDI polyurethane formula that creates an aggressive "trampoline" effect. During operation, the mats are alternately tensioned and compressed thousands of times per minute, generating vertical accelerations that effectively eject particles from the apertures and prevent material buildup. This active cleaning mechanism ensures that the opening rate remains high even in the most difficult environmental conditions.
Durability is a core feature of this product. Each mat is designed to be tough yet flexible, providing a wear resistance that outperforms metal alternatives by 3 to 8 times. For heavy-duty industrial applications, these mats can be manufactured in thicknesses like 30mm or 45mm to provide a substantial wear cushion while maintaining high elasticity. The apertures are precision-cut, with slotted openings (0.1–2.5mm wide) that are optimized for the fine classification of mineral sands and coal fines. Whether used in municipal solid waste recycling or iron ore processing, these mats are compatible with standard flip-flow screen decks.
