    Hydraulic power tongs are open-end power tongs, which are used in oilfields to load and unload oil rods, oil pipes, small drill pipes and small casing threads in well repair operations. During the well repair process, the heavy workload of the operators is to load and unload the threads of oil pipes and drill tools. In the past, pipe tongs or chain tongs were used, which not only had high labor intensity but also had dangers. Hydraulic power tongs are mechanical thread loading and unloading tools operated by the power of the well repair rig, which can reduce the labor intensity of the well repair workers and avoid or reduce the occurrence of injury accidents. At the same time, hydraulic power tongs enhance the torque of pipe and drill tool threads and reduce the occurrence of pipe and drill tool tripping accidents. The working principle of hydraulic power tongs is to transmit the power of the well repair rig to the hydraulic motor of the hydraulic power tongs through the travel reducer, and then through two-stage or one-stage reduction, so that the tongs head open gear rotates, generating two high and low speeds, thereby driving the pipe (drill tool) to rotate. When the open gear rotates, the plate frame does not rotate first under the braking action of the brake hammer, so that there is a relative movement between the open gear and the palate plate frame. In this way, the two rollers of the palate plate will climb on the ramp plate and force the jaws on the crotch plate to move toward the center of the pipe (drilling tool) until the pipe (drilling tool) is bitten, and then the pipe (drilling tool) is driven to rotate together with the open gear.

    In oil well maintenance operations, hydraulic power tongs can be divided into Drill Pipe Power Tong, Casing Power Tong, Tubing Power Tong, and Sucker Rod Power Tong.

It has the following characteristics:

  1. The hydraulic backup tongs and the main tongs are matched to form a combination tongs. When the manual reversing valve on the main tongs is operated, the backup tongs will automatically tighten or loosen the oil pipes together.

  2. The tongs of the main tongs and backup tongs are inner curved roller climbing type two-way tightening devices. The reversing clamping only requires the steering of the main tongs and backup tongs to rotate 180 degrees.

  3. According to user needs, the power tongs sold by our company can also be equipped with overflow valves, which play a protective role when the overflow valve fails during the oil supply process.

  4. The opening of the tongs is equipped with an automatic opening and closing safety protection system. When the safety door is opened, the input high-pressure oil of the hydraulic system is automatically cut off, and the casing tongs stop running immediately. It plays an active protection role during work and effectively protects the safety of the operator.

  5. The oil supply pressure can be adjusted to achieve the appropriate torque generated on oil pipes of different materials.

  6. The split articulated large gear transmission and multi-roller straightening support structure are adopted to greatly improve the strength and rigidity of the casing tongs, and the power tongs are easy to open and close.
