Shuttle kiln is a typical intermittent firing industrial kiln, structurally similar to a match‑box design. The kiln car loaded with workpieces is pushed into the kiln chamber for firing; after the firing cycle completes, the kiln car is pulled out in the reverse direction to unload finished products. Reciprocating movement of the kiln car like a shuttle gives this equipment its name.
This shuttle kiln supports both large‑batch semi‑continuous production and small‑batch intermittent manufacturing, bringing highly flexible production scheduling. It can be equipped with natural gas furnaces, gas generators or direct coal‑fired furnaces for different fuel conditions. Natural gas‑fueled versions feature eco‑friendly performance, high energy efficiency and high maximum working temperature.
The whole production system consists of fuel supply combustion assemblies, combustion fans, flue‑air heat exchangers, tempering fans and exhaust fans. The kiln body wall adopts three‑layer masonry structure. The kiln door uses double‑layer construction for thermal insulation. Sand sealing grooves and curved sealing grooves are arranged to ensure chamber tightness. Ventilation holes under sand sealing grooves dissipate heat from kiln car bottom and extend service life of kiln car components.
