Expert Maintenance Guidance
Hydraulic System Care: Routinely inspect case drain lines for restrictions, kinks, or blockages. A restricted drain line can generate excessive back pressure, potentially causing motor seal failure or rotary group damage. Maintain clean hydraulic fluid and replace return filters at prescribed intervals.
Gear Oil Management: Fill the planetary housing with the recommended extreme-pressure gear oil of the correct viscosity grade. Change the oil every 250-500 operating hours under normal conditions, and every 250 hours in severe applications such as demolition or quarry operations. Examine drained oil for metallic particles as an early indicator of gear or bearing wear.
Fastener Integrity: When reinstalling the final drive, always fit new high-strength bolts. Apply a suitable thread locking compound to the bolt threads prior to torquing to factory specifications, preventing loosening caused by continuous vibration and shock loads during travel and digging cycles.
Pre-Operation Priming Procedure: Before initial startup or after motor replacement, fill the motor housing with clean hydraulic oil to eliminate trapped air pockets. Run the machine at low idle for several minutes, cycling the tracks forward and reverse, to ensure complete lubrication of all planetary components before engaging heavy loads.
