The pressure reducing valve, also known as the safety valve, is a valve that adjusts the inlet pressure to the pre-set outlet pressure through its own mechanical components, and relies on the energy of the medium itself to automatically maintain the outlet pressure. From the fluid mechanics point of view, the pressure reducing valve is a local resistance can change the throttling element, that is, by changing the throttling area, the flow rate and the kinetic energy of the fluid change, resulting in different pressure losses, so as to achieve the purpose of decompression. Then rely on the adjustment of the control and adjustment system, so that the fluctuation of the pressure after the valve is balanced with the spring force, so that the pressure after the valve is kept constant within a certain error range.
Pressure reducing valve according to the structure can be divided into film type, piston type, bellows type, etc., according to the working mode can be divided into positive action type, reaction type, unloading type and auxiliary valve type. The role of the pressure reducing valve is to reduce the pressure of a branch of the hydraulic system, so that it is lower than the oil supply pressure of the hydraulic pump, to meet the needs of the actuator (such as clamping, positioning oil, braking, clutch oil, system control oil, etc.), and to keep the pressure basically constant. The pressure reducing valve should be installed vertically on the horizontal pipe, and the direction of the medium flow should be consistent with the direction of the arrow on the valve body. Both ends should be set off valves, preferably using flanged stop valves. The difference between pressure reducing valve and relief valve: the relief valve is normally closed, and the pressure reducing valve is normally open; The relief valve controls the inlet pressure, while the reducing valve controls the outlet pressure.
