The solenoids exert force on the plunger to shift the control spool from its rest position to the desired end position, facilitating the necessary flow direction between ports. Upon de-energization, return springs restore the control spool to its neutral state. Equipped with a manual override, this valve allows for manual actuation in the absence of solenoid power. It is essential that the pressure chamber of the solenoid is filled with oil to guarantee proper functionality.
The valve also includes a throttle insert option for increasing flow resistance in specific channels under certain operating conditions that may exceed the valve's performance limit. The 4WE10H73-3X/CG24N9K4/A12 comes without spring return by default, meaning it does not maintain a defined position when de-energized unless it has detents which are available for locking in specific spool positions for energy-efficient operation.
