Etching offers ±0.01 mm accuracy, producing a uniform capillary structure across the entire plate. This eliminates the heat-affected zones and uneven depths common in laser processing, ensuring more reliable heat dissipation.
As a non-contact method, etching introduces no mechanical stress to thin copper sheets, preserving flatness within 0.02 mm and preventing warping.
For complex shapes or internal channels, etching only requires design file updates—no additional tooling. This cuts costs and avoids defects like burrs and indentations.
Chemical etching, alternatively referred to as photo etching or photochemical machining (PCM), is a subtractive manufacturing process. It achieves high precision and cost-effectiveness in producing complex metal components without introducing mechanical stresses or heat-affected zones.
