Chemical etching (also known as photochemical or chemical milling) is a precision metal fabrication process. A photosensitive resist is applied to the metal, and a specific pattern is exposed. The unexposed areas are then dissolved by chemical solutions, creating accurate, burr-free features without mechanical stress or tool wear. This process is ideal for complex, fine, or micro-patterns in thin metals.
