Compared with conventional stamping or laser cutting, chemical etching produces burr-free edges, highly accurate geometries, and stress-free components without affecting material properties.
Precision Etched Blades are manufactured using advanced Photo Chemical Machining (PCM), enabling burr-free edges, intricate geometries and extremely fine features that cannot be achieved economically by traditional stamping or laser cutting.
Xinhaisen manufactures custom etched metal blades using precision photo chemical etching technology. Unlike conventional machining or stamping, chemical etching uses a controlled photochemical process to create complex blade profiles from thin metal sheets without mechanical cutting forces.
Manufacturing Process
Material Selection & Cleaning: High-carbon steel, stainless steel, or specialized alloys are selected and meticulously cleaned.
Photoresist Lamination: A light-sensitive polymer film is applied to the metal sheet.
Precision Patterning: The blade design is exposed onto the resist using high-resolution digital tooling.
Controlled Etching: The exposed metal areas are etched away with a controlled chemical solution, forming the exact blade profile and edge.
Stripping & Cleaning: The photoresist is removed, and the blades undergo thorough cleaning.
Secondary Processing: This includes optional hardening, coating, and final sharpening/honing.
100% Quality Inspection: Each batch is inspected for edge integrity, dimensional accuracy, and surface finish.
