The Optical Encoder Disc we etched:
Using photo chemical etching machining technique, Xinhaisen manufactures custom metallic encoder discs with customer’s drawings. So that we can fabricate metal encoder discs with a wide variety of precise patterns, such as, capacitive encoder disc, optical encoder disc, reflective encoder disc, and magnetic encoder disc etc.

How Does Chemical Etching Work: 

The chemical etching method involves transferring a component pattern onto a light-sensitive resist material bonded to metal sheets. The unexposed portions of the photoresist are chemically stripped, baring the underlying metal surface that is then dissolved using etchant chemicals.

  1. Meterial Selection: Material will be selected upon your request.
  2. Material Cutting: Cutting material into the size needed.
  3. Cleaning: Chemically clean the material.
  4. Printing: Photosensitive resist is automatically coated on both sides of the material.
  5. Drying: Dry all the water stains on the sheet
  6. Exposure: The Photoresist is selectively removed to expose the metal.
  7. Developing: The unexposed areas of resist are developed away to leave exposed metal areas.
  8. Etching: The chemical etchant is sprayed onto the sheet, dissolving the exposed metal.
  9. Stripping: Photoresist is removed to leave the metal parts.
  10. Data Inspection: 100% inspeciton to meet the cutomer's need.
  11. Packing: Dust-free packaging.
