PCHE Overview

Xinhaisen's chemically etched PCHEs represent the next generation of compact heat exchangers, delivering unmatched thermal performance in critical applications. Utilizing our proprietary photochemical etching technology, we create complex micro-channel patterns that achieve superior heat transfer efficiency while maintaining exceptional pressure resistance.


PCHE Features

  • Extreme Compactness: Up to 85% smaller and lighter than conventional heat exchangers, saving critical space and weight.

  • High Efficiency: The intricate micro-channel design provides a large surface area-to-volume ratio, enabling maximum heat transfer.

  • Exceptional Pressure & Temperature Resistance: The monolithic, all-metal diffusion-bonded construction allows operation at pressures over 600 bar and temperatures from cryogenic to 900°C.

  • Corrosion & Fouling Resistance: Smooth, etched channels minimize pressure drop and resist fouling. Compatible with corrosive media using suitable alloys.

  • Design Flexibility: Channel patterns, sizes, and plate arrangements can be customized for optimal performance in any duty (liquid-liquid, gas-gas, or phase change).

    A: Etching produces burr-free, stress-free, and uniformly smooth channels without heat-affected zones. It also allows for much finer channel geometries (as small as 0.03mm) than traditional machining, and design changes are quick and inexpensive since no hard tooling is required.
  • Q2: What materials can you etch for PCHE plates?
    A: We can etch stainless steel (SUS304, SUS316, SUS316L), titanium (Gr1, Gr2), Inconel, Hastelloy, copper, brass, and many other alloys commonly used in high-performance heat exchangers.
  • Q3: What is the minimum channel width you can achieve?
    A: We can achieve channel widths as small as 0.03mm and ridge (wall) widths down to 0.015mm, depending on material thickness.

    A: Prototype samples typically take 3–7 working days after design approval. Mass production lead times are 7–15 working days, with expedited options available for urgent orders.
