Printed Circuit Heat Exchanger via Photo Chemical Etching Machining
Printed Circuit Heat Exchanger (PCHE) PCHE (Printed circuit heat exchanger) is a weld-ability, corrosion resistance and plate-type heat exchanger, mainly used in oil and gas industries. A PCHE is manufactured from several corrosion resistance plates that are joined together by diffusion bonding technology.
Xinhaisen selects 316L stainless steel which is double sided mirror, the thickness is 2mm, the fluid flow channels are made by half chemical etching machining. A PCHE can consist of a single plate or an infinite number of identical plates, The fluid flow patterns are bespoke for each exchanger, Xinhaisen produces the PCHE according to customer’s design and requests.

What is the photo chemical etching process? The photo chemical etching process is a sheet metal machining process that is used to manufacture complex components with high levels of accuracy.
Comprising nine steps, it works by printing the component design onto a photoresist mask which is laminated onto the metal.
The areas of photoresist which have not been printed are developed, exposing the metal, which is subsequently etched away.
