The production process of chemically etched bipolar plates:
1) Material selection (stainless steel/titanium);
2) Surface cleaning;
3) Photoresist coating and UV masking to define flow channel patterns;
4) Exposing and Developing;
5) Chemical etching to dissolve exposed areas;
6) Post-processing (resist removal, residue neutralization);
7) Quality inspection.
Precise control of etching parameters (time, temperature, concentration) ensures uniform channel geometry for optimized gas distribution, conductivity, and corrosion resistance while maintaining structural integrity. This method supports scalable, cost-efficient mass production.
