Flocking swab introduction:

Flocked swabs are mainly used for the examination of microbial samples collected from the throat. Flocked swabs have excellent sample collection and release capabilities, and can quickly absorb trace samples with high release efficiency
Our flocked swabs feature vertical nylon fibers to optimize sample collection and elution into the transfer medium. Flocked swabs also feature molded breakpoints that allow you to break off the swab stick safely and easily, and there are multiple breakpoint options for different tubes.

Flocked swabs are mainly used for the examination of microbial samples collected from the throat. With excellent sample collection and release capabilities, it can quickly adsorb trace samples with high release efficiency

Flocking swab oropharyngeal swab sampling method:

①. Ask the patient to sit first, then ask the patient to tilt their head back, open their mouth, and make an "ah~~" sound.

②. The sampler uses a tongue depressor to fix the patient's tongue and uses polyester or calcium alginate to pass through the tongue to reach the posterior wall of the throat and the recesses and lateral walls of the tonsils.

③. Repeated wiping 3 to 5 times to collect mucosal cells.

④. Slowly take the swab out of the mouth, put it vertically into the sampling tube, break the tail of the throat swab, and tighten the sampling tube to avoid leakage

⑤. Send to the laboratory as soon as possible.

 
Flocking swab precautions:

1 Flocked swabs are suitable for the examination of biological samples taken from natural cavities (eg throat) in persons of any age.

2 The flocked swab is a one-time product, please do not use it multiple times.

3 Before sampling the flocked swab, check that the packaging is in good condition. If damaged, stop using it immediately and contact the dealer or manufacturer for a replacement.

4 If an allergic reaction occurs after use, please stop using it immediately.

5 Do not eat, smoke, or drink water 30 minutes before flocking swab sampling, so as not to affect the sampling operation.

6 Dispose of in accordance with local laws and regulations.

Store in a cool and dry place, sealed and preserved. Do not use it twice, avoid rain
