Important Notes and Characteristics
General Information:
Maximum RMS Ripple Current: Specified at +105C, 100KHz. Adjustments for different temperatures and frequencies are necessary using provided coefficients. Verification methods follow JIS-C-5101-1(2010) No.: 4.23. Self-generated heat should be within 5C if ripple current is difficult to measure.
Working Voltage: Ensure applied voltage does not exceed the rated voltage. Peak voltage (DC + ripple) must not exceed the rated voltage.
Insulation: Standard capacitors have a vinyl sleeve for marking. For insulated aluminum cases, special types are recommended.
Soldering: Avoid excessive soldering temperature or time to prevent sleeve shrinkage. Solder on the reverse of the PC board. Maintain a distance between the capacitor and the circuit board to prevent sleeve damage.
Vent: Capacitors (10mm) have a safety vent at the bottom to release internal pressure during unsafe usage.
High Altitude: Capacitors can withstand transportation at -55~105C and altitudes up to 20,000 feet.
Cleaning Agents: Avoid halogenated organic solvents, as they may penetrate and cause corrosion.
Dissipation Factor (tan) Measurement: 202C, 120Hz, 0.5Vrms. Refer to Table 1 for criteria.
Leakage Current Measurement: Rated voltage applied for 2 minutes with a 100010% protection resistor. Criterion: I 55A.
Terminal Strength: Tested for tensile and bending strength with specified loads and cycles. Terminals must not be loose, broken, or have poor contact.
Temperature Characteristic: Impedance measured at different temperatures. Impedance ratio must not exceed values in Table 2. Leakage current (LC) 800% of initial specification.
High Temperature Load (2000H/105C): Capacitance change 30%, DF 300% of spec, LC spec, no visible damage.
High Temperature Exposure (Storage, 1000H/105C): Capacitance change 30%, DF 300% of spec, LC spec, no visible damage.
Surge Test (1000 cycles): Applied voltage 29V. Capacitance change 15%, DF spec, LC spec, no visible damage.
Vibration Test: 10~55Hz, 0.75mm amplitude, 98 m/s acceleration for 6 hours (X, Y, Z directions). Capacitance change 5%, DF spec, LC spec, no visible damage.
Solderability: Sn96.5%Ag3%Cu0.5% solder at 2455C for 2.00.5S. New solder coverage > 95%.
Resistance to Soldering Heat: Specific profiles for different sizes (T1, t1, Peak temp). Reflow acceptable twice.
Vent Test (for applicable products): Reverse voltage 80V. No explosion, flash, flame, spark, or fire when vent operates.
Temperature Cycling (10 cycles): Capacitance change 5%, DF spec, LC spec, no visible damage.
High Temp and Humidity (250H/40C/90~95%RH): Capacitance change 20%, DF 1.2 times spec, LC spec, no visible damage.
