Induction heating machine :
Induction heating is a fast, efficient, precise, repeatable, non� contact method for heating metals or other electrically-conductive materials. An induction heating system includes an induction power supply which converts line power to an alternating current, delivers it to a workhead and work coil creating an electromagnetic field within the coil. The work piece is placed in the coil where this field induces a current in the work piece, which generates heat in
the work piece
Applications:
1.Induction heat treatment :
A: Surface Hardening (Quenching): By rapidly heating a metal surface and then immediately cooling it, induction hardening creates a hard, wear-resistant outer layer while keeping the core tough and ductile. This is widely used for gears, shafts, crankshafts, and various tools.
B:Annealing and Tempering: Annealing softens metals to improve their machinability or relieve internal stresses, while tempering reduces brittleness after hardening. Induction heating allows for precise local annealing of parts like stainless steel strips or specific sections of a component.
2.Heating for Forming:
A:Hot Forging and Forming: It heats metal billets or workpieces to a temperature where they are plastic enough to be forged into shapes (e.g., hand tools, automotive parts, fasteners) using presses or hammers.
B:Hot Fitting: This involves heating a metal part (like a bearing) so that it expands, allowing for easy assembly onto another component. Upon cooling, the part contracts, creating a tight interference fit
3.Welding, Brazing, and Soldering
A:Brazing and Soldering: It melts a filler metal (solder) that flows into the gap between two close-fitting parts, creating a strong joint. This is common in plumbing, electrical work, and automotive manufacturing for joining components like copper pipes or carbide tips to tools.
B:Shrink Fitting: Similar to hot fitting, this application uses heat to assemble or disassemble tightly fitted parts like bearings, gears, and railway wheels.
4.Metal Melting:
Smelting and Foundry: Induction melting is efficient for melting everything from iron and steel to copper, aluminum, and precious metals . It offers advantages like minimal melt loss, precise temperature control, and the ability to stir the molten metal for uniform alloying.
5.Other Specialized Applications:
Induction Sealing: This is used in the food and pharmaceutical industries to hermetically seal containers by heating a thin aluminum foil liner under the cap.
Plastic Processing: Induction heating is used in plastic injection molding machines to heat the barrel directly, reducing warm-up times and energy consumption
