Installation & Wiring
Q4: I installed the inverter but it won't start—just flashes an error. I connected L, N to power and U, V, W to the motor. What's wrong?
A4: You forgot to set the motor parameters! Even basic models need this. Go to "quick commissioning" (P0010=1), enter your motor's rated voltage (e.g., 230V) and current (check the motor nameplate), then save and reset. Most first-time users skip this step.
Q5: The inverter gets hot and shuts down after 10 minutes. It's mounted in a small control cabinet—no other equipment inside.
A5: Ventilation issue! MM420 needs at least 10cm of space above and below for airflow. If your cabinet is too tight, drill ventilation holes or add a small 12V fan. Also, make sure the cooling vents on the inverter aren't blocked by wires.
Operation & Troubleshooting
Q8: The motor runs but is noisy and vibrates. It's a small conveyor for my boutique—1.1kW, 240V single-phase.
A8: Two fixes: First, check if the motor cables are tight (loose wires cause vibration). Second, change the V/F curve to linear (P1300=0) instead of quadratic. Quadratic is for fans/pumps—linear works better for constant-torque loads like conveyors.
