Don't mix them up—plugging a "UC" model into 380V will burn it out instantly.
Installation & Wiring
Q4: I installed the inverter but it won't start—just flashes an error. I connected L, N to power and U, V, W to the motor. What's wrong?
A4: You forgot to set the motor parameters! Even basic models need this. Go to "quick commissioning" (P0010=1), enter your motor's rated voltage (e.g., 230V) and current (check the motor nameplate), then save and reset. Most first-time users skip this step.
Q5: The inverter gets hot and shuts down after 10 minutes. It's mounted in a small control cabinet—no other equipment inside.
A5: Ventilation issue! MM420 needs at least 10cm of space above and below for airflow. If your cabinet is too tight, drill ventilation holes or add a small 12V fan. Also, make sure the cooling vents on the inverter aren't blocked by wires.
Operation & Troubleshooting
Q8: The motor runs but is noisy and vibrates. It's a small conveyor for my boutique—1.1kW, 240V single-phase.
A8: Two fixes: First, check if the motor cables are tight (loose wires cause vibration). Second, change the V/F curve to linear (P1300=0) instead of quadratic. Quadratic is for fans/pumps—linear works better for constant-torque loads like conveyors.
Q9: The inverter trips with "F0002" (overvoltage) when I turn off the pump. Why?
A9: The pump is acting like a generator when it stops! For small pumps (under 2.2kW), lengthen the deceleration time (P1121) from 10s to 30s—gives the pump time to slow down without sending voltage back to the inverter.
Maintenance & Compatibility
Q12: I want to upgrade to a higher power model. Can I swap a 2.2kW inverter with a 5.5kW one without changing wiring?
