Product Overview

The Pilz PNOZ X2.8P 24VACDC (part number 777301) is a standalone safety relay from the PNOZ X series. Designed to monitor safety devices on industrial machinery—primarily E-STOP pushbuttons, safety gates (interlock switches), and light curtains—to protect personnel from hazardous machinery movements.

When a connected safety device is activated (e.g., an E-STOP button pressed or a safety gate opened), the relay immediately opens its safety-rated output contacts to remove power from the machine's control circuit, stopping dangerous motion.

The PNOZ X series is known for its robust construction, positive-guided relay outputs, and high safety integrity, suitable for applications up to EN ISO 13849-1 PL e (Safety Category 4) and EN/IEC 62061 SIL CL 3.

Positive-guided Relay Outputs: Features 3 normally open (N/O) safety contacts and 1 normally closed (N/C) auxiliary contact. All safety contacts are positive-guided, a critical requirement for safety circuits as defined by EN 50205.
