Introduction
A sieve bend screen, also known as a DSM screen (Dutch State Mines), is a curved, static dewatering screen used in
various industries for solid-liquid separation and classification processes. Unlike flat screens or wedge wire screens,
sieve bend screens have a curved or arc-shaped profile, which allows for efficient dewatering and classification of
materials.
The design of a sieve bend screen typically consists of a series of parallel, wedge-shaped wires or bars arranged along
the curved surface. These wires or bars are usually spaced at precise intervals, creating slots or apertures of a predetermined
size. The arc shape of the screen causes the solids to accumulate on the surface while allowing the liquid to pass through
the slots, thereby separating the solids from the liquid.
