Introduction
wedge wire screen is a type of filtering screen used in various industries for separation, filtration, and sizing processes.
Unlike traditional wire mesh screens, which are made of woven wires, wedge wire screens are made of stainless steel or
other corrosion-resistant materials and feature a unique profile that allows for precise filtration.
The design of wedge wire screens consists of a series of triangular-shaped wires (hence the name "wedge") positioned
parallel to each other and welded onto support rods. These triangular wires are V-shaped, with the apex of each wire facing
inward. This construction creates precise gaps between the wires, providing accurate filtration while also offering strength
and durability.
