Description
Reinforced Thermoplastic Pipes (RTP) are a type of high-pressure plastic composite piping. They typically consist of a three-layer structure: an inner liner, a reinforcement layer, and an outer protective layer.
RTPs are characterized by excellent flexibility, corrosion resistance, high pressure resistance, wear resistance, impact resistance, and lightweight construction. Because they can be spooled and require fewer joints, they enable rapid installation and deployment. These properties allow RTPs to effectively overcome both the corrosion vulnerabilities of conventional steel pipes and the pressure limitations of standard plastic pipes.
They are widely used in oil and gas extraction for applications such as single-well oil and gas transport, multiphase flow piping, high-pressure water injection, marginal gas recovery, wastewater transport, and shallow-water offshore gathering and transportation systems. Additionally, they are highly suitable for areas such as brine transport in the salt chemical industry, slurry transport, urban district heating, and geothermal hot spring water transmission.
