Abrasion-Resistant RTP Pipe is a heavy-duty composite pipeline system specifically developed for dredging operations, marine construction, and coastal civil engineering projects. Engineered to convey high-density sand slurries, silt mixtures, gravel suspensions, and dredge spoils through demanding marine environments, it delivers far superior service life compared to steel dredge pipes and floating rubber hose assemblies.
The advanced multi-layer construction is optimized for the punishing conditions of marine sediment transport:
Liner Pipe (Anti-Scouring Wear Layer): A co-extruded Polyolefin elastomer (POE) and HDPE compound creates an ultra-smooth, high-wear-resistant internal surface formulated to endure the sustained scouring action of quartz sand, rock fines, shell fragments, and abrasive sedimentary particles at high flow velocities.
Reinforcement Layer: Helically wound, high-modulus aramid fiber tape provides exceptional tensile strength and cyclic fatigue resistance. This reinforcement absorbs dynamic surge pressures and pulsation loads typical in cutter suction dredger discharge lines and booster pump stations.
Outer Jacket: A robust UV and saltwater-resistant HDPE outer layer protects against floating debris collisions, wave action abrasion, marine organism growth, and mechanical wear during pipeline deployment, retrieval, and shoreline repositioning.
