It is engineered to deliver superior surface finishes and tight dimensional control on hardened steels and cast irons.
Toughened Alumina Matrix: Engineered with specialized micro-alloying additives that inhibit crack propagation, providing higher edge toughness than conventional white alumina ceramics.
Exceptional Hot-Hardness: Retains structural integrity and resistance to deformation even at elevated cutting temperatures, preventing plastic deformation at the cutting edge.
High Chemical Inertness: Resists chemical diffusion and oxidation during high-speed cuts, significantly reducing crater wear and preventing material adhesion.
The high rigidity and low coefficient of friction of the ATQ Series produce mirror-like surface finishes ($Ra$) on hardened components, often eliminating the need for expensive secondary grinding operations.
Specially suited for continuous hard turning of workpieces up to 65 HRC, allowing for significantly higher cutting speeds and shorter cycle times compared to standard carbide tools.
