SiC Whisker Reinforcement: Microscopic monocrystalline whiskers act as internal structural reinforcement, preventing crack propagation and increasing fracture toughness by up to 100% compared to conventional ceramics.
Exceptional Thermal Shock Resistance: Allows for high-speed machining with or without coolant, accommodating rapid heating and cooling cycles without micro-cracking or thermal fatigue.
High Hot-Hardness: Retains superior hardness and compressive strength at cutting temperatures exceeding 1000°C, preventing plastic deformation under extreme thermal and mechanical loads.
Specially optimized for nickel-based, cobalt-based, and iron-based superalloys (such as Inconel, Waspaloy, and René), enabling cutting speeds 4 to 10 times faster than standard cemented carbide inserts.
