Introduction of DWDM / OTN Transmission Platform
The OM3800-5U is designed with a standard 19-inch 5U rack-mounted, card-insertion structure, the single chassis provides 20 functional module slots, 2 power slots, and 1 fan slot. It adopts a front-panel fiber outlet design, placing all optical interfaces and network management interfaces on the front side. The airflow design adopts a right-to-left ventilation pattern, with an air inlet on the right side of the chassis. Cold air is drawn into the chassis by the cooling fan unit, and then expelled from the left side of the chassis.

Note:
1. SLOT1 is for inserting the NMS (Network Management System) control card, while SLOT2 to 19 can accommodate various types of business cards.
2. FAN Slot: Used for chassis cooling. The PWR indicator being on indicates normal power supply to the fan slot. If the ALM light is red, it signifies a fan malfunction. Normally, the ALM light should be off.
3. Indicator Lights:
- PWR: On - Normal power supply; Off - No power supply or abnormal.
- ALM: On - Fan malfunction or high-temperature alarm; Off - Normal.
Rear panel
1. The power supply (PIU) slot is located at the back of the device, supporting both alternating current (AC - APU) and direct current (DC - DPU) options. The power configuration is 1+1 hot backup, providing redundancy.
2. Indicator Lights:
- PWR-DC, PWR-AC: On - Normal power supply; Off - No power supply or abnormal.
