1. Product Overview

This electric bogie hearth furnace has a rated temperature of 950℃ and normal operating temperature of 850℃, primarily used for heating and heat treatment of small-to-medium metal or alloy parts in air atmosphere, supporting quenching, annealing, tempering, and other processes. Featuring a full-fiber folded block lining and motorized bogie for automatic loading/unloading, it is suitable for small-to-medium batch, multi-variety heat treatment production.

2. Industry Challenges & Root Cause Analysis

Poor furnace insulation and high energy consumption:Traditional refractory brick linings have high heat capacity and poor insulation – slow heating with severe heat loss. Root cause: high thermal conductivity of lining materials, large heat storage loss – inadequate use of fiber structures.

Insufficient furnace temperature uniformity:Large temperature differentials across the chamber cause inconsistent hardness and microstructure within the same batch. Root cause: unreasonable zone division, unbalanced heating element layout, and poor sealing at door and bogie.

Cumbersome bogie and door operation:Traditional bogie traction relies on external winches – door lifting requires counterweights or pits – large footprint and inconvenient operation. Root cause: lack of integrated self-propelled bogie and compact door lifting design.

Difficult process data recording and traceability:Temperature curves cannot be automatically recorded – quality traceability relies on manual logbooks. Root cause: control system lacks data storage, export, and historical query functions.

3. Solution

3.1 Full-Fiber Folded Block Lining Structure:Furnace uses Shandong Luyang 1260 high-purity ceramic fiber folded blocks – density ≥230kg/m³, total thickness 325mm. Low thermal conductivity, strong shock resistance, erosion resistance – low heat storage loss, empty furnace heating rate ≤1h, empty furnace power loss ≤10% – significant energy savings.

3.2 Independent Zone Temperature Control with High Precision:2-zone independent control – Japanese Shimaden SRS3 intelligent program controller (with 485 communication) + SCR power regulator – control accuracy ±1℃, furnace uniformity ±10℃ (soaking stage). Each zone equipped with 3 ammeters for circuit current indication – each power regulator module with fast fuse protection.

3.3 Self-Propelled Bogie & Compact Door Structure:Bogie driven by 1.2kW cycloidal reducer directly on wheels – no external winch or pit required – smooth and reliable entry/exit. Furnace door lifted by 1-ton electric hoist (8m/min) with self-weight compression sealing – no counterweight – saves floor space.

3.4 Five-Sided Heating & Optimized Heating Elements:0Cr25Al5 resistance strip formed into corrugated shape – arranged on both sides of furnace chamber + bogie surface (five-sided heating). Strips processed with dedicated molds to prevent damage – fixed with ceramic screws – easy installation and maintenance. Heating main circuits with fast fuse protection – long service life.

3.5 Door & Bogie Electrical Interlock Protection:Transmission control with multiple interlocks – (1) bogie cannot move during heating; (2) heating only starts when door closed; (3) bogie moves only when door fully raised; (4) door and bogie movements protected by limit switches – ensuring operational safety.

3.6 Touchscreen Data Recording & Management:10.1-inch touchscreen with Shimaden controller – PID control and programmable process curves. Touchscreen records historical data, stores process curves, supports USB export and screenshot capture – over-temperature alarm function. 485 communication interface supports MES integration.
