Overview

The LNK-MDR4K Series is a high-performance Mini 4K DVI Fiber Optic Extender with RS232,
meticulously engineered to deliver stable, long-distance transmission of high-definition signals
while maintaining compact dimensions for space-constrained installations. As a Mini 4K DVI Fiber
Optic Extender with RS232, it integrates dual-signal transmission capabilities (uncompressed DVI
video and RS232 control signals) into a streamlined form factor, making it ideal for scenarios where
installation space is limited—such as wall-mounted display setups, compact control cabinets, or
distributed AV systems.

This extender supports transmission of uncompressed DVI video signals and RS232 serial control
signals over optical fiber, with an impressive maximum transmission distance of 80km and support
for ultra-high resolution up to 4K*2K@60Hz (YUV 4:2:0 color sampling). The RS232 signal transmission
function enables seamless control of connected devices (e.g., display screens, projectors, or AV controllers)
from a remote location, eliminating the need for separate control cables and simplifying system wiring.

The transmitter unit of the Mini 4K DVI Fiber Optic Extender with RS232 converts input DVI video signals
and RS232 control signals into a single 10Gb/s high-speed serial data stream, ensuring low latency and
zero signal compression during transmission—critical for maintaining image clarity and control responsiveness.
The corresponding receiver unit then reverses this process, converting the serial data stream back into standard
DVI video signals and RS232 control signals for direct connection to display devices or control terminals.

In line with global environmental standards, the LNK-MDR4K Series transceivers are fully RoHS compliant
and lead-free, meeting strict regulatory requirements in both Europe and China, making them suitable for
eco-conscious projects and markets. Additionally, the device features robust anti-interference capabilities,
with inherent resistance to electromagnetic interference (EMI) and radio frequency interference (RFI)
common in complex electrical environments (e.g., near industrial equipment, power lines, or dense AV
systems). This ensures consistent signal stability even in harsh operating conditions.

With its compact design, dual-signal transmission, long-distance coverage, and reliable performance, the
