Stair tread steel gratings, also called grating steps, are made of low carbon steel or stainless steel. It is one of the most widely used and popular types of steel gratings. Steel Stair Treads
Steel grating stair treads are available in type “W” welded, type “SL” swage locked, or type “DT” dovetail pressure locked grating. Carrier plates are recommended for use with 19, 15, and 11 spaced gratings, while carrier angles are recommended for use with 8 and 7 spaced gratings. Nosing choices include checker plate, cast abrasive, FRP abrasive, and OnGrip surfaces.
